Today I got a transliterated copy of the Qur'an!!!! It has the Arabic, English, and the Arabic words written out in English letters for pronunciation. I'm really excited about it :-D

A Package in the Mail!
Salam!
Today I got a transliterated copy of the Qur'an!!!! It has the Arabic, English, and the Arabic words written out in English letters for pronunciation. I'm really excited about it :-D
I'll let you know how it goes when I get into it more. Now I start memorizing! I've already learned The Opening, but I only learned it in English as that was all I had at the time.
Anyway... YAY!!!!

There is also a site called http://www.reciter.org that you can use to help you memorize the Arabic. You can set it to repeat the same surah or verse over and over again.
i have one of the same format that i really like. it is by Muhammad Asad (or assad? i can't remember at the moment :p ) . one of the things i like about it is that it has really good explanatory notes at the bottom of the pages.
